Thomas acquired his Master's degree (M.Sc) in Cognitive Science from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) and his BA (Philosophy) from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan, Italy), prior to joining the SOMBY lab as a PhD student in Cognitive Science in 2022.
He is currently working on the role of emotions and affective mechanisms in social learning, with a specific focus on generalization of emotional information retrieved in absence of direct communication, known as affective observation.
His project is supervised by Günther Knoblich, Christophe Heintz, and Fabrice Clément.
